hey friends! time for another salon (and another ~ chaotic ~ email).
it’s been a whopping two months since the last one – I definitely plan to write a whole long-winded vulnerable piece about my emotions around hosting salons, but for now I just want to host another one and see y’all again.
next salon
this next one’s gonna be about “being managed”. basically, I kinda wanna hear people’s experiences with being managed in a corporate setting, the good and the bad, funny stories, whatever else.
prompts:
what makes a great manager?
is it possible (and advisable) to feel like you’re “friends” with your manager, or is there always gonna be some sense of disconnect because of the power dynamic?
what have people found helps with improving their relationship to their manager?
how much do you look to your manager for strategic support vs emotional support.
also do you wanna be a manager? are any of you actually managers??
fill in this form to indicate interest, and I’ll put together a group1 and send a cal invite.
upcoming topics
just sharing this to spark ideas, lemme know if you have more or are especially excited about any!

a pic for the fans3
I’m gonna experiment with: gauging interest in a salon, and then putting together the group myself in order to optimize for: group size (not too many, not too few), camaraderie (mixing up people from different circles / different perspectives? idk).
s/o to Claire for the rec 🥺 (this one AND the two below it!)
I have a strong affinity for the phrase, “for the fans”
